Ambassador's Message
Welcome to the website of the Uganda High Commission to the United Republic of Tanzania.
Our Mission is to strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania as well as the Republics of Zambia, Malawi, Madagascar, Mauritius and Comoros.
The Mission is also accredited to the East Africa Community, a primary Regional Economic building block in pursuit of Uganda's promotion of regional economic and political integration, international peace and security. In addition, the Mission is also accredited to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA)
Being Land- Linked but with industrious people Uganda is keenly interested in regional cooperative efforts in the development of ports, roads, rail and other infrastructure to meet the objective of a shared vision of a people centered development in our areas of accreditation.
Scenic, ever green Uganda was described as the Pearl of Africa by Sir Winston Churchill. It is gifted with many natural resources, some listed in the World Heritage Sites. If you want to view one of world's biggest varieties of birds or butterflies, Uganda is the place to visit.
